Watercolor Retreat / Workshop in Tequisquiapan, Querétaro
OBJECTIVE
To paint watercolor scenes with a fluid technique, considering contrast (light and shade) and transparency.
We are not looking for a hyperrealist copy, but a self-interpretation of what we see.
Most of the classes will be “Plein Air”.

Welcoming and introduction
> Early afternoon: Drawing with lines using pencil and ink: Gesture drawing and perspective.
> Late afternoon: Sketch with lines and watercolor.

> Nighttime: DEMO night city landscape (bonus activity).
SATURDAY, JULY 18, 2026
> Early morning: Monochromatic scenes: Understanding light and shadow.
> Late morning: Chromatic scenes: The primary colors and hue.
— Free time.
> Early afternoon: DEMO Day city landscape.
> Late afternoon: Lecture + Watercolor painting: Vegetation + architecture.
— Free time.
> Nighttime: DEMO human figure watercolor (bonus activity).
SUNDAY, JULY 19, 2026
> Morning: Lecture + Watercolor painting: Architecture + people/animals.
— Final comments and departures.
