It has been framed in a modern black art frame with a white mat. The size of the painting (including frame) is 67 x 85 cm (26″ x 33″). It depicts the revolutionary hero Emiliano Zapata who was born a peasant in Anenecuilco in the state of Morelos. Amongst many ideals\, he promoted social justice and ownership of communal lands by indigenous people. The 1910 Revolution made his hopes and dreams a reality.
